Decameron: We're Here For Ya [IV/1]
Dear Valued Customer,
In these challenging and unprecedented times, it’s important to us that you know that we’re here for you, and are taking the upmost caution to ensure a sanitary, safe experience the next time you visit us here at Gator Lake Indoor Splish-and-Splash Emporium in lovely Salerno Creek, Florida. Our founder, Tom “Touchdown” Tancredi, takes your concerns seriously and wants you to know we here at Gator Lake hold nothing but the safety of our guests in mind.
After our designation as an essential business thanks to the wise leadership of Crawdad County, we took immediate steps to ramp up the cleanliness of our facilities.
We have increased the frequency of cleaning at the indoor water park from a monthly wipe-down to a bi-weekly scrub of the entire Splash Zone, with every surface, PVC pipe, aluminum slide, and concrete pool being hosed down with gusto every other Tuesday. We take upmost care for the Kiddie Pool Swimming Hole and Youth Chicken Fight Arena, which is now scrubbed weekly.
And our signature attraction — our 40-foot, wet-and-wild screaming fast megaslide splashtacular — is impenetrable to the depredations of coronavirus; Tom “Touchdown” Tancredi’s brother in law, an optometrist down Tampa way, believes the virus cannot withstand the altitude or turbulent waters that make the Stonewall Jackson the biggest thrill in the quad-county area.
We are here for our patrons, no matter what. In service to our community, we’ve kept up the popular Snorkeling for Seniors excercise class each and every day, and though demand has strongly outpaced available time slots we’ve diligently ensured that everyone gets a swim, no matter what.
Though the adjoining laser tag arena had been originally closed for upgrades, we are proud to say that thanks to a Federal PPP program grant we were able to accellerate construction, and are now taking reservations for childrens birthday parties of up to 40 participants, thanks to our expansion.
Still, we have not been immune from belt tightening. If you’d like to support the employees that we had to let go from the Gator Lake Indoor Splish-and-Splash Emporium family, a Go Fund Me will be made available next week.
We are here for you in this challenging time.
Come on down, the water’s fine!
Roll tide,
Tom “Touchdown” Tancredi
